As a Presbyterian church, we are committed and accountable to a wider family of congregations across Scotland called the Didasko Fellowship.

In common with believers across the world and down the ages, we joyfully affirm the ancient creeds and confessions of the Christian Church. We hold the Bible to be our supreme authority in all matters of life and faith. And we hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith as a subordinate standard.

Dominic Fisher

Pastor (from December 2019)

It is our privilege to introduce Dominic Fisher as our new Pastor, along with his wife Carys and their three boys Aaron, Isaac and Leon. They hope to make the move to Dundee in December and we look forward to welcoming them into our church family then.

Dom is married to Carys and they have three boys; Aaron, Isaac and Leon. He grew up in distant shores; Plymouth to be exact. Dom grew up in a Christian family, in fact his Dad was a pastor. Having sworn he never wanted to be a pastor, aged 14 Dom became a Christian and felt called to church leadership. Much to his disappointment to be honest. His dream was to be a rock star.

Dom served in his home church leading worship, preaching and doing just about every role at some point or other. After finishing school, he worked in accountancy for a couple of years. At 20, he was sent to Moorlands College by the elders of his church to train for ministry. He graduated in 2011 with a 1st class degree, the preaching award, a wife and a bump. At Moorlands he met Carys, who was also studying there. They got married in 2010. After spending time in USA with missional church planters, learning and training, Dom’s calling became clearer. After working in debt-management for a couple of years he’s been on staff at churches in Bournemouth and the Midlands. Since 2015, Dom has been the Senior Church Leader at Trethomas Christian Fellowship in Wales.

John Ellis

Chair Elder

Until Dom starts his role as Pastor of Grace Church, John has kindly agreed to continue as our chair elder. Alongside the other elders, he is involved in the leadership of the church.

John’s day job is helping the blind to see as an ophthalmologist at Ninewells.

David High

Elder

David joined the church in 2015 and served as a ministry apprentice with Grace before joining UCCF (Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship) as a Staff Worker for students at Dundee and Abertay Universities.

David can sometimes be seen up the front playing cajon in the church band.

Hugh Miller

Elder

Hugh has been with Grace Church since its inception. He spends his days outdoors working as a farmer, and loves whiling away the hours in his tractor listen to excellent theology podcasts.

Hugh is a member of the children’s ministry team, working with kids from P4-P7.

Mark Thompson

Elder

Originally from Larne in NI, Mark first came to Dundee as a student and has been with Grace Church from the beginning. He works for Blackwood Homes and Care as a Business Support Officer.

Mark is also involved in youth ministry at Grace.

Will Anderson

Elder

Will works in Ninewells as a respiratory consultant, doing all he can not to take people’s breath away. He came to Dundee as a student to study medicine and loved it so much that he never left.

Will serves as the church secretary.

Susie Ford

Ministry Associate

Without Susie, we would all eat much less cake. However, her main role is to work with women within the church family, trying to help them live and speak for Jesus in all of life. She also helps coordinate the deacons group and many of the practical aspects of church life. She hates writing blurbs about herself.

She is also studying theology part-time with Highland Theological College and has recently become the SU regional worker for Dundee and Angus.

Mark Ford

Ministry Associate

Mark has four main loves- God, his family, running and music.  He’s been at Grace since 2014 and has recently come to work for the church after a career as a GP and in Student Health.

His role involves partly admin and partly working with men in the church family, encouraging and praying for them as they live and speak for Jesus.  He is involved in the music ministry at Grace and helps to head-up the worship team.

He is also working towards a diploma in Counselling with a Christian perspective.

Deacons

Selu, Kathryn, Brandon, Margaret, Andrew and Paul serve Grace Church as deacons. As deacons they have particular responsibilities for specific areas of church leadership including catering, liaising with mission partners, Sunday Club etc.
