We want to know what it means to be called a child of God and to call him, Abba Father.

Knowing God is like finding pure gold or enjoying sweet honey (Ps 19.10). Why would you ever be satisfied with just a drop of either? And having once tasted and seen that God is good, we want to savour more. We want to grasp what we can never comprehend: how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. (Eph 3.18) We want to know what it means to be called a child of God and to call him, Abba Father. We want the knowledge of who God is and of how we stand before him to get from our heads to our hearts, so that we are transformed from the inside-out.

We want to grow, together

Our greatest joy as disciples is to know more of Jesus Christ. And so we will never move away from the Scriptures. Our privilege as members of a church family is that we grow together. And so we will say to one another, ‘Let’s press in to know him better.’

We grow best when every member plays their part.

And so we want to use every means to help each other, from seeking excellence and depth in preaching to discussions and asking questions. We meet all together and in home groups and one-to-ones. We want to make the most of different teaching and learning styles so that we take every opportunity to know Jesus better and rivet truth into our lives. And it’s because we are in the gospel and love of Jesus that we can be humble and teachable. And more we know of him, the more we want to know.
